Suffolk Police are investigating a pair of Friday evening shootings that happened less than a half-mile from one another.
Around 7:15 p.m., an officer responded to the 200 block of Pine Street after getting reports of a vehicle at the corner of Smith and Wellons streets that had been hit by bullets. No one in the vehicle was injured, police said.
About four minutes later, officers responded to the 400 block of Wilson Street after they heard gunshots. While at the scene, they found a home that had bullet holes in front of it. The resident of the home was not injured.
Both incidents remain under investigation.
