Man tells police he was shot on West Washington Street

A man sought treatment Saturday morning at Sentara Obici Hospital after reportedly being shot in the 100 block of West Washington Street downtown, Suffolk police said in a news release. His injuries weren’t life-threatening.
The Suffolk 911 Center received a call from the hospital at 2:07 a.m. Police searched that area of West Washington Street but said “no crime scene could be located.”
No information about the suspect was available.
