James G. ¨Red¨ Baker Jr. of Suffolk, transitioned peacefully at Nansemond Pointe Rehabilitation and Nursing on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021.  A public viewing will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 30, in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel. Mr. Baker will be interred at a later date at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
