As your City Council representative, I am pleased to offer my full endorsement to Heather Howell for the school board seat representing the Sleepy Hole borough of Suffolk.

Heather is a native of Suffolk and a graduate of Suffolk Public Schools, having graduated from Nansemond River High School in 1995. She has already served her community, first as a special education teacher and later as a reading intervention teacher for Suffolk Public Schools, spanning more than 10 years as an educator. Heather also gave of her time and talents to the Relay For Life of Suffolk, serving as chairperson for two years.

Heather has a passion for education, a heart for the truth, and the conviction to get our school system back on track. She will fight for your children and grandchildren and make sure your tax dollars are accounted for and responsibly allocated in the school budget. She believes in safeguarding parental rights and protecting the integrity and authenticity of the curriculum promoted in our schools.

Heather has my full endorsement because I believe she will work tirelessly to be a voice for our community, even when that requires her to stand alone. On Tuesday, Nov. 2, I urge you to cast your vote for Heather Howell for Suffolk School Board, Sleepy Hole Borough.
