Larry “Fuddy” Barnes, 64, of Suffolk, passed away on Monday, Aug. 30, 2021. He was the son of Effie L. Barnes and the late Floyd T. Barnes. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Floyd Jr. “Guy,” Johnnie Ray and Jeffrey.

He is survived by his mother, Effie Barnes; five sisters, Sarah, Gloria, Brenda, Della and Jenette (Edward); six brothers Ricky, Thomas Lee (Shireen), Dale (Brenda), Lenbyrd (Michelle), Lloyd and Quinton (LaShawn); two daughters, NaQuana Knight and Jennifer Cherry; three grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A funeral service will be held graveside at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, at Collins Family Cemetery, 2415 Pittmantown Road, Suffolk, VA 23438. Harris Funeral Home is in charge.

The family will not be receiving friends at the house due to COVID-19 and CDC guidelines. Family members must wear a mask!
