Suffolk Police are currently investigating an accident involving a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle.

The accident was reported at 9:31 p.m. from the 700 block of North Main Street, according to a Suffolk Police Department press release.

The pedestrian was taken by ground ambulance to Sentara Obici Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, the press release stated.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
