Shooting victim drives himself to hospital

Suffolk Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred Saturday evening, after an adult male with a gunshot wound drove himself to a local hospital.
Emergency Communications was contacted at 6:26 p.m. advising of the incident, according to a city press release.
The incident reportedly occurred while the victim was driving in the downtown area, according to the release; however, no crime scene has yet been located and police are still investigating.
The investigation remains ongoing at this time and there is no further information available for release.
