Shooting sends one to hospital

Suffolk Police are currently investigating a shooting that happened early Saturday morning in the 600 block of East Washington Street.
Emergency Communications was contacted at 2:48 a.m. and once on scene, officers found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound that was deemed non-life-threatening, according to a city press release.
The victim received emergency medical assessment and treatment by Suffolk Fire & Rescue personnel and was ground transported to a local hospital.
The investigation remains ongoing at this time and there is no further information available for release.
