UPDATE: The roadway reopened at 3:35 p.m.

Earlier: Efforts to remove a partially overturned tractor-trailer are expected to close a portion of Route 58 later today.

The closure and resulting detours are anticipated to take place starting at noon and last several hours, according to a city press release.

The closure will take place at Route 58 eastbound at Wilroy Road at the curve just prior to the widening of the road to three lanes in each direction.

The affected tractor-trailer is partially on its side following an accident with no injuries that occurred earlier Thursday, the press release stated. There were no injuries.

Traffic will be detoured along Wilroy Road and Suburban Drive to Portsmouth Boulevard. Signs will be set up along the way.

The closure was initially to begin at 10 a.m., but a malfunction with wrecker equipment pushed the closure to noon.
