John Coleman Boyce, 74, of Suffolk, passed away Friday, May 21, 2021. He was the son of the late Jacob D. Boyce and Marion J. Boyce.

Mr. Boyce was a member of the Suffolk Ruritan Club, Hall Ruritan Club and Somerton Hunt Club. He was such a good help for so many people. He enjoyed cooking and helping anywhere he could. He retired after 37 years with Verizon.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Edna Boyce; son, Brett Boyce (Celia) of Tucson, Ariz.; grandson, Billy Jack Boyce; granddaughter, Geneva Fae Boyce; sisters, Brenda Rountree (Rick) and Marilyn Ross; brother David Boyce; and special dog, Somer.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 27, at the home of Mary Boyce with the Rev. Richard Wilcox officiating. The family asks that everyone dress casual.
