Jacqueline Louise Perkins White, known to many as Jackie, was called home to be with Our Father, The Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, March 5, 2021. Jacqueline was born to the union of James Andrew Perkins and Dorothy Louise Horner Perkins both of Suffolk. She grew up in Saratoga and later moved to Lake Kennedy. She left with her husband and family in 1976 for several military assignments and returned to Virginia in 1985. Soon after, she moved to Hampton with her husband and four of her five children in 1986.
Jacqueline departed this life, preceded in death by her father, James A. Perkins; mother, Dorothy L. Perkins; sisters, Carolyn D. Perkins Phillips, Angela Perkins and Fonda Williams; as well as, her brother, James A. Perkins Jr.
Jacqueline leaves behind to cherish her memories a loving and wonderful husband, Edward Mitchell White; two daughters: Renita A. Harvey, and son-in-law Shannon T. Harvey; Patricia A. Saunders, and son-in-law, Corey Saunders; three sons: Rodney A. Boone, and daughter-in-law Tabitha Boone; Edward L. White, and daughter-in-law Sarah White; Marcus T. White and daughter-in-law Felicia White. Additionally, 11 grandchildren, Rodney Boone Jr, Angel Boone, Elijah Boone, Alexander Boone, Kayla White, Audrey White, Deandrea White, Elijah White, Adrian White, Austin White and Ariel White; six great-grandchildren, DioVarnie White, Da’Pree White, Da’Jon White, Dakotah White, Payton White and Jacob Reeves Jr. A special cousin, Ms.Shirley Barnes, along with several very loving and beautiful nieces, nephews, cousins and very close friends.
A public viewing will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 12, at the Harris Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at noon Sunday, March 14 at the Hampton Memorial Gardens. You may send condolences to the family at harrisfuneralhome.com.
