Two men injured in late-night shooting

Suffolk Police are investigating a shooting that happened Monday evening and injured two men.
Officers responded to the 300 block of South Main Street for a report of shots fired at 11:47 p.m., according to a city press release. They made contact with several individuals that were outside in the area when the shots were fired. They also found that several vehicles were struck by gunfire, as well as a residence.
While officers were on scene investigating, they were notified that two adult males had arrived at Sentara Obici Hospital suffering from gunshot wounds they sustained while in the area of the 300 block of South Main Street, the press release stated. They were identified as Ahmond Tyshaun Coner, 23, and Darren Joshua Hill, 21, both of Suffolk. The injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.
