“American Pickers” plans to film episodes of The History Channel hit TV series in Virginia in April.

The show explores the world of antiques picking and follows the hosts as they travel around the country to find valuable items and learn the stories behind them, often giving them a new lease on life in the process, according to an announcement from the show’s production company.

Appropriate health and safety measures will be followed so that the show can go on during the pandemic.

“We understand that with the proliferation of COVID-19, we are all facing very uncertain times. We at American Pickers are taking the pandemic very seriously and will be following all guidelines and protocols for safe filming as outlined by the state and CDC. While we plan to be in Virginia this April, we will continue to reschedule if conditions change for the worse,” the show said.

Sarah Perkins, a show producer, said in an email that the public should keep in mind that “the Pickers only pick private collections, so no stores, malls, flea markets, museums, auctions, businesses or anything open to the public.”

American Pickers is looking for leads.
