Suffolk Police have arrested a 67-year-old woman after an investigation into an early-morning stabbing.

The stabbing was reported at 2:11 a.m. Tuesday, and the caller said an adult male was assaulted, according to a city press release. It happened at a residence in the 400 block of Linden Avenue.

The victim was taken by ground ambulance to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

Jerlean Wiggins Brown was arrested and charged with felonious assault and assault and battery of a family member, according to a city press release. She is being held at Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
