To the editor:

I am a student at King’s Fork High School, and recently my school has shut down due to the increasing danger of the coronavirus. COVID-19 has had a growing impact on every aspect of our world, including education. Schools across the nation are being shut down to slow the spread of the virus. This has brought many lives to a standstill, causing emotional and economic distress.

It is important to take the necessary precautions to prevent further spread of COVID-19 so that progress may resume. The education of our nation’s youth plays a vital role in the growth of our country as well as maintaining the quality of American lives. With greater awareness, I hope that we can all create a healthier environment for students to learn and families to flourish.
