Lady Bulldog standout Niyah Gaston was selected second team All-Region.

The freshman standout for the King’s Fork High School girls’ basketball team has had an impressive season. Gaston was among the leaders for the Lady Bulldogs during their impressive season in which the Lady Bulldogs split a share of the Southeastern District title.

King’s Fork went into the region with a No. 6 seed and was able to upset the No. 3 seeded Warhill High School before falling just seconds short of upsetting the No. 2 seeded Grafton High School. Against Warhill, Gaston scored 14 points. Gaston was also a first team All-District selection.

Ashlee Robertson, Quadaia Coles and Arlisha Boston were honorable mentions for King’s Fork. Next season, the Lady Bulldogs will once again return a strong team.
