The following schedule changes for Friday have been announced:

• Suffolk Public Schools will be closed and also has canceled after-school and evening activities for Friday.
• Nansemond-Suffolk Academy is closed Friday and will make a decision as soon as possible about basketball games and the “Les Misérables” presentation. Visit the school’s website for more information on these.
• Suffolk Christian Academy also announced its closure on Facebook.
• Paul D. Camp Community College will be closed Friday and will resume normal operations at 8 a.m. Saturday.
• Isle of Wight County Schools are closed Friday.
• Suffolk city offices will open on a two-hour delay Friday. Offices directly serving the public will open at 10:30 a.m.
• The Mills E. Godwin, Jr. Courts Building will be closed Friday.

The following are operating under their normal schedules:

• There will be no changes to the city trash collection schedule for Friday. TFC Recycling will also conduct their normal recycling collection routes Friday. Trash must be placed at curbside no later than 7 a.m. on the day of collection.
• The Southeastern Public Safety Authority Transfer Station in Suffolk will not have any change in its operating schedule.
• Suffolk Transit will operate on its normal operating schedule Friday.
