The Suffolk Art League is bringing some new additions for shoppers at its upcoming sale.

The 37^th Annual Antiques Show and Sale will be held on Feb. 22-23 at King’s Fork Middle School, 350 Kings Fork Road. The show will feature 38 antiques, collectibles and vintage dealers from the mid-Atlantic region, according to a Feb. 5 press release.

Items for sale will include including silver, jewelry, porcelain, artwork, linens, art glass, furniture, coins, paper documents, and much more.

Father Time Antiques will be at the show for clock repairs, and Art Glass of Tidewater will provide crystal repairs.

There will also be vendors in the commons area of King’s Fork Middle School, according to the press release, with additional items like vinyl records and jewelry made from broken vintage and antique china.

The Peanut Pals organization will have Planters, Mr. Peanut and other related merchandise on display and for sale. The Pourfavor coffee shop and Bartlett Tree Experts will also have some additional items available.

“We have a number of new dealers and vendors this year,” Executive Director Linda Bunch stated in the press release. “Some new things to look for include coins and paper ephemera, Civil War relics, fireplace mantels, Beatrix Potter items, art glass and folk art.

“The French Corner, a new downtown Suffolk business, will feature French antiques and collectibles. Our Antiques Show Chair, Dixie Peachy, and her committee have put together another great show and event.”

The cafeteria will be serving barbecue, Brunswick stew and chicken salad from Rodman’s BBQ, plus hot dogs, ham rolls and homemade desserts. Meals will be for both dine-in and take-out.

Proceeds from the Antiques Show and Sale support the Suffolk Art League’s many programs, including classes and workshops at the Suffolk Art Gallery, in the Suffolk school systems and in North Suffolk locations.

The Art League also offers exhibits of local and regional artists’ work, lectures, bus excursions and performances, along with two scholarships programs that help the artistic endeavors of students in grades 6 to 12.

“It’s our biggest fundraiser, and the proceeds support a lot of our educational programming,” Bunch said in a phone interview Wednesday.

The hours for the antiques show and sale will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 22, and from noon to 4 p.m. on Feb. 23. Admission will cost $7.
