The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy boys’ basketball team defeated Walsingham Academy Tuesday night at home.
The Saints got a much-needed regular season finale win after a 61-46 win over Walsingham. The win puts NSA at 17-7 on the year. George Pettaway went for 15 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and five steals to lead the Saints.
NSA will now turn its attention to the conference tournament coming up next week. In the most recent state poll, the Saints stayed at No. 7 spot. With a strong conference tournament, NSA could possibly find a better seeding before the state tournament starts.
