Following are this week’s nominees for the Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

• Justin Fatherly, senior, Nansemond River High School basketball: Fatherly scored 35 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a win over Great Bridge High School, putting him in reach of 1,100 career points.
• Jamauri Demiel, sophomore, Lakeland High School basketball: Demiel scored 17 points in a Lady Cavs win over Grassfield High School.
• Arlisha Boston, freshman, King’s Fork High School basketball: Boston scored 15 points and dished out seven assists in the Lady Bulldogs win over Hickory High School.
