George Keys

George Keys, 58, of Third Avenue, Suffolk, transitioned Monday, Dec. 23, 2019, at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was the son of Margaret E. Keys and the late George E. Keys. He attended Forest Glen High School and was employed with Bowden Painting Service as a painter for seven years.

He leaves to cherish his memory three daughters, LaToya Gilchrist, of Baltimore, Sharonda Gilchrist of York, Pa., and Ebony Gilchrist, of Baltimore, Md.; two sons, Troy Gilchrist (Dimisha), of Baltimore, Md., and Darrell Gilchrist, of Baltimore, Md.; two sisters, Sheretta Luton (John), of Newport News, and Doris Keys, of Suffolk; brother, Norris Keys (Cheryl), of Suffolk; 15 grandchildren; four aunts; six uncles; six nephews; five nieces; great-nieces; great-nephews; cousins; one brother-in-law; one sister-in-law; and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, at Piney Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive guest at 104 Ashford Drive, Suffolk. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
