Suffolk native Chuck Clark will try to help the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens on a Super Bowl run.

The 100th season of the NFL has been good to the Baltimore Ravens. They currently have a 13-2 record with one regular season game left; however, they have already taken claim to the No. 1 seed in the AFC conference. With the top seed, it means all roads to the Super Bowl in the AFC conference will have to go through Baltimore.

Clark is part of a Ravens team that many consider the favorites for the Super Bowl title. Clark took over the starting job at safety back in October and has helped lead the Ravens to one of the better defenses in the league. Not only that, he also communicates the plays to his team every play, a task normally asked of a linebacker.

So far this season, the Suffolk native has 41 tackles, a sack and an interception. He also has two forced fumbles. His teammates have spoken highly of him, saying they knew when Clark’s time come, he’d blossom in his role.

The Super Bowl will be held Feb. 2, and it could see the Suffolk native taking the field. Clark was a three-star recruit at King’s Fork High School and then went on to star at Virginia Tech before being drafted into the NFL in 2017.
