Allonge’ Dance Academy will present “The Least of These, ”a classical ballet inspired by Leo Tolstoy’s “Papa Panov’s Special Christmas” and Mathew 25:40, this Saturday.

The performance will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts, 110 W. Finney Ave. Tickets may be purchased online at allongedanceacademy.com.

This family-friendly, breathtaking production features colorful scenery created by local artist Beth Blanchard and dazzling costumes. This classical ballet production is choreographed and directed by Allonge’s artistic director, Amanda Short, with the assistance of Amber Roberts.

The ballet tells the story of Papa, a lonely widower on Christmas Eve, and the broken-spirited characters that find him to be a blessing that they will remember forever.

“We are excited to bring another Christmas ballet with such a meaningful message to our community,” Short stated. “We hope our audience will be inspired to revisit the meaning of Christmas this holiday season and challenged to extend grace and compassion to those in need during this season and throughout the year.”
