Visit the Eclipse community in Suffolk this Saturday to shop for holiday gifts at an arts and crafts sale.
The C.E.&H. Ruritan Club Holiday Arts and Crafts Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the C.E.&H. Ruritan Hall, 8881 Eclipse Drive. There will be 28 vendors inside the historic school house and community hall, according to an email from Kelly Hengler with the C.E.&H. Heritage Civic League.
Top local artists such as Paula Hicks, Wayne Martin, Linda Phillips, Phyllis Wells, Sandy Leggett-Wilson and Karla Smith will be featured at the sale.
“Local authors Rod Thompson and Morgan C. Wilson will offer inspirational children’s books for sale and signing,” Hengler wrote in the email.
The C.E.&H. Heritage Civic League will have a fundraising bake sale, and will also offer free coffee, mulled cider and O’doodleDoo’s Donuts to shoppers.
The Suffolk River Heritage Foundation will fundraise with giftware of Chuckatuck Creek — embroidered hats, boat bags, glassware and mugs, and a collection of signature artwork.
Copies of Suffolk River Heritage books will also be on sale, according to chairperson Karla Smith, including “Truckin’ on the Western Branch” and “Peninsula in Passage” for half price, plus 25 percent off “Screwpiles: The Forgotten Lighthouses.”
Attendance is free of charge.
