The Lakeland High school boys’ basketball team opened the season with a road loss.

The Cavs went on the road Monday night to take on Lafayette High School. The Cavs will look to bounce back from the 71-61 loss this Saturday when they play in an invitational at Meadowbrook High School.

Clint Wright Jr. led the way in scoring for the Cavs with 22 points, while Keimari Artis added 19 points of his own.
