The Lady Warriors were represented on the All-Region teams by DeAndra Moore.

The Nansemond River High School girls’ volleyball had a strong year this year. They finished the regular season with a 15-7 record and took claim to the city title. During the regular season, they had three different win streaks that went for four games or more.

They reached the regional tournament but took a first-round loss to First Colonial High School. It didn’t take away from the strong year the Lady Warriors had, as Moore was selected second team All-Region. Moore had been a staple for the Lady Warriors’ success this year and was happy to see the hard work she put in pay off.

“I was pretty excited,” Moore said. “I felt like I worked hard this season to be where I am at, and it took a lot of dedication and sweat. I felt like I accomplished some of the things I wanted with the help of my teammates. Them being there for me really gives me a solid foundation as a player.”
