Inclement weather forecast for the weekend has canceled a handful of events on Saturday.

The Suffolk Farmers’ Market and the Great Dismal Swamp Guided Nature Walk are canceled, according to a city press release.

Rain is expected throughout the weekend as part of a coastal storm. The city is under a coastal flood warning for the weekend. Minor to locally moderate coastal flooding is possible around high tide Saturday, with moderate to locally major coastal flooding expected around high tide Saturday night and again Sunday.

The last farmers’ market of the season will be held next Saturday, Nov. 23, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Suffolk Visitor Center Pavilion, located behind the Suffolk Visitor Center, 524 N. Main St. The eighth annual Suffolk Artisan Gift Fair will also be held that same day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
