Police investigate robbery

Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery that happened Saturday morning.
The robbery was reported at 7 a.m. from the Murphy Oil gas station in the 1200 block of North Main Street.
Preliminary investigation found an adult male subject displayed a handgun and demanded money, but didn’t get any because he fled on foot when customers arrived. There were no injuries.
