The Lakeland High School girls’ volleyball team earned a strong win over Wilson High School Thursday night.
The Lakeland girls’ volleyball team finished the regular season 9-11 after a 3-0 win over Wilson. With that win, Lakeland finishes winning four of its last five games.
The Lady Cavs seem to be peaking at the right time, and they hope to keep their momentum going into their playoff matchup next week.
“The girls played well out there,” Coach Monica Bond said. “They had a lot of energy and excitement.”
During the regular season, Lakeland got some wins over some good teams in the district. They also went into extra sets with some of the top teams in the district. Bond believes that will serve the Lady Cavs well when they head into their playoff matchup.
Lakeland will take on Booker T. Washington this weekend in the regional playoffs.
