Don’t limit God

Did you know that God can in fact do anything? Sometimes we put limits on God. We prevent Him from showing us what He is able to do. We prevent Him from really executing His awesome power to and for us.

The middle-aged lady came to me and said, “I don’t see how in the world I can get this bill paid by the end of the month, when I have exhausted all of my income.” She said, “Times are so tight, and I’m robbing Peter to pay Paul.” I had to encourage her to trust God. “Here it is only the first of the month, and you’re already saying you don’t know how you’re going to make a payment at the end of the month.” I told her never to limit God.

In order to get what you need in critical times, you have to make sure you see God as who He is. He is the God who can do anything. There is nothing He cannot do.

It’s bad when people limit God. It’s even worse when the Church who has been set aside to represent and witness for God fails to believe. They put limits on God. Some people act as though He can’t do it if it’s not logical. God works above and outside of logic when we need Him to move in an unusual way. You can’t figure God out.

In 2 Kings 4:1-7, the woman was running out of food, and she and her family were running out of resources to survive. The man of God came and gave her instructions on what to do. We must always remember these simple nuggets:

4God can send people by to bless you. Notice who God is sending in your life and across your path. They may be the very people He uses to help you with what you need.

4God can use anything to help meet your need. You have to realize that God is so awesome, He can take the very thing you are overlooking and work it to be what you need to go to the next level. We must become sensitive to everything that He places in our lives.

4God blesses us not just for us but also to help others. We can never forget that our blessings are not just for us alone. Once He blesses you, you need, as my Father has said, to pass it on. Don’t just sit on what you have; learn to help others along the way.

As we continue to stay in prayer to God, we must also make sure that we never limit Him. For He is the God of all creation. He is able to supply all of our need according to His riches in glory. We are limited when we fail to include God. However, when we include Him, we bring Heaven’s blessings down to meet our needs. Trust and watch Him do exceedingly and abundantly more than you can ask or think.
