Liberty Spring Christian Church will hold a “Concert for Mothers and Others” on May 11. The concert will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. at the church, located at 4213 Whaleyville Blvd. This concert is free and open to the public.

This concert will feature vocals, violins, handbells, the organ and piano in song from a variety of musical genres. The selection of songs will honor mothers in light of Mother’s Day on May 12.

This is one of many outreach events that Liberty Spring Christian Church is organizing in recognition of the church’s 150th anniversary this year, according to Music Director Lauren Towers.

“It’s something nice that you can take your mother or any other lady that’s special in your life to that’s free of cost,” Towers said.
