Lady Knights grab win over Northeastern

The Suffolk Christian Academy softball team picked up a 13-8 win over Northeastern High School Monday evening.
The SCA Lady Knights picked up another win this season as they went on the road and took on Northeastern High School. The game was scoreless until the fourth inning, when the teams each turned in three runs. In the fifth inning, SCA took it up a notch, bringing in five runs to Northeastern’s three to take an 8-6 lead.
SCA went on to score five runs in the last two innings of the game to finish the win.
Penelope Franklin and Zoe Wheeler both had solid games at the plate for SCA. Franklin went 3-4 with three runs and three RBIs, with Wheeler going 3-5 with three RBIs. Franklin also had two doubles. Arryanna Baird and Franklin handled pitching duties in the win.
The Lady Knights will go on the road to take on Cape Henry Collegiate Thursday afternoon at 4:30 p.m.
