Owens throws no-hitter in Saints win

Colby Owens threw a no-hitter in the Saints’ shutout win over Bishop Sullivan Monday evening.
The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy baseball team picked up the 10-0 win at home. They did it behind the arm of Owens, who struck out 10 on his way to pitching a complete game. He is now 2-0 on the mound this season.
NSA got things started in the second inning as they went up 2-0. In the fourth and fifth innings, the Saints brought home eight runs to secure the game.
Jordan Crosland went 3-3 with three RBIs to lead NSA. Crosland also added a double. Six Saints had hits.
Saints will go on the road to take on Norfolk Academy at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
