Suffolk Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened Sunday night at a local gas station.

The incident at the Raceway store in the 1200 block of Portsmouth Boulevard was reported about 10:40 p.m., according to a city press release.

Preliminary investigation found that two black males entered the store wearing dark clothing and gloves with their faces covered, according to a city press release. One of the suspects displayed a handgun, and they took money and cigarettes before fleeing on foot.

No injuries were reported.
