Lady Saints take win over Norfolk Collegiate

The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy girls’ basketball team picked up its second win in a row Tuesday night at home.
NSA grabbed a 57-35 win over Norfolk Collegiate. With that win, NSA improves to 14-5. This week, the Lady Saints came in at No. 6 in the state poll.
The Lady Saints took a 10-3 lead after the first quarter. Norfolk Collegiate went on a run of its own in the second quarter, but NSA held a 24-14 lead at the half. The Lady Saints came out of the half and outscored Norfolk Collegiate 19-7, which gave them even more of a lead that Norfolk Collegiate couldn’t come back from. Alivia Giles had 21 points and eight rebounds. Cammy Reid added 10 points.
NSA will take on Western Branch High School at home at 7 p.m. Thursday.
