Saints win big in first game of the season

The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy boys’ basketball team grabbed a 66-23 win over Stonebridge School Thursday evening.
The Saints had a big game for their first win under Coach Chris Fuhrmann. NSA jumped out to a 20-3 lead after the first quarter. At halftime, they led 30-11. In the second half, the Saints continued the rout, finishing with four players in double figures.
Jaden Freeman led the way with 18 points and five rebounds. George Pettaway finished with 13 points and nine assists — only an assist away from a double-double. Jared Hawkins had 12 points, with Kemauri Spencer adding 11.
