Suffolk police are seeking the public’s help in locating a man wanted for assault and child endangerment.
Dennis Roosevelt Harden Jr., 30, of the 1000 block of Davis Boulevard, is accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend on Friday.
After that assault, Harden allegedly brought the couple’s 7-month-old daughter to the mother’s apartment and threw her on the ground. The child’s grandmother found the baby on the ground, but Harden had fled the scene.
There were no visible injuries to the baby, city spokeswoman Debbie George said.
Since the incident, Harden has been spotted twice by police but managed to evade arrest, George said. Police have obtained additional warrants for resisting arrest and obstruction of justice.
Anyone who has information on Harden’s whereabouts is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Callers to Crime Line never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
