ABNB Federal Credit Union recently opened its second branch in Suffolk, and bank officials held a ribbon-cutting with Mayor Linda T. Johnson last Friday to celebrate.
The credit union already had a location at 907 W. Washington St. But it now has a Harbour View location as well, located at 5901 Harbour View Blvd.
“This is hopefully not the last in the city,” Charles Mallon Jr., ABNB president and chief executive officer, said during the ribbon-cutting.
The credit union has been operating since 1960 with locations all over Hampton Roads. It serves more than 56,000 members with personal and business accounts and loans, insurance and financial and investment planning services. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works or worships in Hampton Roads or Currituck County, N.C.
“We’re excited to be in the area and take care of the members in this community,” said ABNB Relationship Manager Leisa Brissett.
“The expansion by ABNB is another sign that doing business in Suffolk is a wise investment,” Mayor Johnson stated in a press release. “The new branch gives more area residents and business owners the opportunity to meet their financial goals.”
