King’s Fork High School boys’ volleyball team earned a playoff berth in the multiclass sectional playoffs.
They took on Wilson High School at Churchland High School last Saturday and won 3-1. It was a solid win for the Bulldogs, who have been building some momentum towards the end of the season.
Coach Angie Gatling talked last week about the team continuing to fight and build confidence. With the playoffs being one-and-done, the Bulldogs will have to fight for every point, which she feels ultimately teaches life lessons.
“The game of volleyball builds you,” she said. “It teaches you if you want to win, you have to fight until you do. That’s why I love volleyball. There’s no clock like other sports. You just have to dig deep and win. Life is like that sometimes. But I love the fact our guys continue to fight.”
