Gov. Ralph Northam recently announced appointments to various boards and committees in his administration.

Anthony Gitalado, of Suffolk, co-founder of Tremo Enterprise LLC, was named to the Veterans Services Foundation.

Alfred O. Mayes, of Suffolk, a Master Barber and instructor at AL Mayes Barbering AMB LLC, was named to the Board for Barbers and Cosmetology.
