Suffolk Complete Dental Care will participate in Free Dentistry Day this Saturday at its office on College Drive.

“We understand that many people in our community and across the nation haven’t been to the dentist for a long period of time. Some don’t realize the importance of dental health, but more often than not, they don’t have the financial means,” Dr. Tarek ElBadawy said in a press release. “This event is a great opportunity for us to share our time and resources with those less fortunate and give back to the community.”

This is the first Free Dentistry Day for the practice, and the staff members are happy to help the Suffolk community get needed dental work.

“There are so many people that need the care, and having this event is that extra push,” said Business Assistant Jennifer VanDusen. “Just coming in the door is the first step.”

VanDusen said the business anticipates roughly 50 to 100 patients for the five-hour event, and they will be performing one free filling or extraction per patient along with a small exam.

“We are doing extractions and fillings depending on the diagnosis from the doctor,” VanDusen said. “The exams are for a limited area.”

The business will also provide coupons for any future visits the patients may need for their dental health.

“Dental health is a vital part of a person’s overall health,” Dr. Inae Hyun said in a press release. “Through this event, we hope to educate patients on the importance of dental health and encourage them to adopt an ongoing oral care regimen.”

Patients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis, and they will be doing exams from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at their office at 6255 College Drive, Suite E.
