NR defeats Lakeland

The Lady Warriors got a win over Lakeland High School for the second time this season on Tuesday.
The Nansemond River High School girls’ volleyball team hosted Lakeland High School for the second meeting between the two teams this season. Nansemond River won all six sets in the two teams’ series.
Nansemond River had 21 kills as a team, with Deandra Moore leading the way with six. Taylor Paquette added five. Aliyah Cotrell led the team with nine aces, with Alexa Lyons adding six aces. Lyons also had 11 assists. It was the seventh win of the season for the Lady Warriors, who have doubled their win total from last season.
Nansemond River will go to King’s Fork High School and play Thursday night. Lakeland will be at Indian River High School on Thursday night.
