Adell Hart

Ms. Adell Hart, of 611 Adams St., Suffolk, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018, at Concordia Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The youngest of 11 children, she was born on May 19, 1918, and celebrated 100 years of God’s amazing grace this past May.
Adell was employed by Planters Peanuts, where she worked for 40 years, and was a member of Local 26 Union for 73 years.

She was also a lifelong member of Metropolitan Baptist Church until her health began to fail.

Survivors include her devoted nephew, Ronald O. Hart and his wife, Ethel, of Suffolk; three nieces, Lenora White Jones, of Suffolk, Louise White Hammond, of Santa Maria, Calif., and Annie Yvonne Hart, of Bowie, Md.; a great-niece she helped raise from birth, Brenda Toyer (Bruce), of Brandywine, Md.; and a host of other family and friends.

Ms. Hart’s visitation will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, at the funeral home. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2018, at Metropolitan Baptist Church by the Rev. Janice White, and she will be laid to rest at Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family will also receive guests at the home of Ronald Hart, 806 Seminole Drive, Suffolk.
