Police are investigating a three-vehicle crash that closed a section of Airport Road Friday evening.

The accident in the 1700 block of Airport Road involved a Ford Mustang, Ford F-150 pickup and a flatbed 18-wheeler hauling lumber, according to a city press release.

It was reported at 4:47 p.m.

An adult female was taken by ground ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of injuries considered serious but not life-threatening, the press release stated.

The portion of the roadway remained closed for several hours as the vehicles were removed and the investigation continued.
