In preparation for Hurricane Florence, Suffolk Public Schools will be closing for both students and staff until further notice effective Sept. 12, according to their website.

The closing allows for the Red Cross and the city to prepare the emergency shelters.

Suffolk’s School Board meeting will be rescheduled for Sept. 20, according to the webpage.
