Elizabeth River Crossings LLC recently named Billy Samra as the new chief financial officer.

Samra was formerly finance director of the Infrastructure Development unit at Skanska (Skanska ID), one of the world’s leading project development and construction groups, active in Europe and North America.

“I’m looking forward to working closely with CEO, Doug Wilson, and the rest of the management team to continue building a strong analytical business foundation for ERC,” Samra said. “I have been impressed with the importance of the connectivity that ERC brings to Hampton Roads, and I look forward to using my skills and experience to continue to improve the service ERC provides to communities in the area.”

Samra is Big Four Association of Chartered Accountants qualified with a proven history in major organizations, including private equity backed companies. Most recently, he oversaw the financial reporting of Skanska ID’s public-private partnership projects in the United Kingdom. Samra brings operational and commercial skills and will focus on the accounting, financial planning, annual budgeting, procedures and forecasting aspects of ERC’s business.
