Norfolk woman killed

Suffolk police are investigating the death of a Norfolk woman early Monday morning as a homicide, according to a city press release.
Kiara M. Etheridge, 23, was found dead in the roadway at Dill Road and Bidwell Street, the press release stated. Police received a report at 4:36 a.m. that she was lying in the roadway with what appeared to be a gunshot wound.
Originally classified as an undetermined death, the death was later classified as a homicide.
Detectives are following up on several leads, the press release stated, and the investigation remains ongoing.
