The Holland Ruritan Club has made the final decision to cancel all the festivities on Saturday due to severe weather.

The group shared a short message on Facebook saying that they have “cancelled all events on May 19 due to weather.”

The group had hoped to have the Founders Day ceremony as well as the parade. They announced Thursday via Facebook that all outdoor events – the cook-off, car show, music and fireworks – due to unfavorable weather.

There is no rain date for the event currently, but they hope to reschedule in late summer or early fall, according to a Facebook post.
