Following are this week’s nominees for the Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

• Madison Froemel, senior, King’s Fork High School softball: Froemel went 3-3 with five runs and three RBIs and a home run in the Lady Bulldogs’ 19-0 win over Oscar Smith High School
• Penelope Franklin, junior, Suffolk Christian Academy softball: Franklin went 4-4 with three RBIs and two runs in the Lady Knights’ title game at the National Association of Christian Athletes tournament
