SCA wins big in tournament

The Suffolk Christian Academy softball team grabbed a 22-1 win over Cross Lanes Christian School in a national tournament early Friday afternoon.
The team competed in the National Association of Christian Athletes tournament in Tennessee this week. On Thursday, Suffolk Christian won two games. They then carried that energy over for early Friday, pushing their win streak to three.
SCA immediately got things started against Cross Lanes by scoring eight runs in two innings. After a quiet third inning, they scored 14 runs in the fourth and fifth innings.
Arryanna Baird pitched and earned the win. Daphne Franklin went 4-5 with four runs and five RBIs. Pep Franklin went 4-5 with three runs and three RBIs. Marlee Lynn went 2-4 with two runs and five RBIs.
SCA had a total of 17 hits.
